Engagement season is upon us and we are in love with this session. You can see how much Kayla & Jon love each other in every single frame. So much goodness! I met up with these two on the square in Lamar, Missouri. We shot for a while downtown, capturing some old buildings and weathered vines, and some of the history from the square, and then we headed to a nearby open field for sunset. Kelsey+Laramie got married  this October at the Grand Lake Baptist Assembly in Grove, Oklahoma. 

The look on Laramie's face when he saw Kelsey for the first time coming down the aisle with her father was just priceless! She looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress. The couple gathered in the huge assembly hall surrounded by their friends and family all seated at tables around them. After the wedding, we wandered the property with the sweet newlyweds exploring some covered wooded areas and various favorable lighting situations. These two absolutely rocked their portrait session and we are loving every frame. After the bride and groom's portrait session at sunset, we came back inside for the reception, which was complete with endearing speeches from the maid of honor and best man, and an insanely hilarious choreographed first dance with the bride and father of the bride. This day was magic and special in every way and we are so glad we got to be a part of it. Huge congrats to Kelsey and Laramie!

We met the sweetest couple, Sarah and Jory in Downtown Springfield for a few shots at an old grain silo, and then headed out to Highlandville for sunset at the farm of a family friend. After a few pics with the family pups, we went off in search of wildflowers and a gorgeous sunset. We found both....and horses :) We were calling it a midwest Safari! There were beautiful horses everywhere, and it was awesome! Here are just a few of our favorites from Sarah and Jory's engagement session....Enjoy!

Kaylee and Cole got married at the Methodist Church in Joplin, Missouri. This wedding just couldn't have been any better! I arrived at the church to get a few shots of Kaylee getting her makeup done, snagged a few shots of the dress, shoes, details and such :) Then we went on a little church tour, exploring the grounds for a few photo sessions in different places. I just love the backdrop that a big stone building provides, and the sanctuary with that giant organ :) After the ceremony, we headed downtown with the father of the bride's classic Mercedes for a portrait session with the Bride and Groom. We explored the city streets and a back alley and these two were pros in their first photo sesh' as husband and wife!  Once we hit the Elks Lodge for the reception, Kaylee and her Mom, Dad, and Brother knew just how to get the party started! They headed straight for the dance floor and started belting out Journey's 'Don't Stop Believing' ! It was amazing. I think this crew definitely knows how to have a little fun! A few heart felt speeches, some feverish dancing, and one big fireworks show later, and this wedding went down as one for the ages!

Lydia and Brett tied the knot last month at the beautiful St. Mary's Catholic Church in Joplin, Missouri. Lydia stunned on her wedding day in the same dress her mom wore for her wedding so many years ago. Their wedding was followed by one of the most beautiful receptions we have ever been a part of. It was set in the country way off the beaten path down in a valley and nestled perfectly back in the woods. The overhanging string lights and hand crafted dance floor provided the ambiance for the evening, and the rest was history.

Jessica + Tyler got married at the beautiful First Christian Church in Columbus, Kansas. The church provided the perfect setting for these two sweet-hearts to say their vows. This wedding was everything you hope for in a summer wedding! As soon as you walk in, you can feel the history in the old wooden pews, stained glass windows, and theatre seating. We were able to capture the essence of that history combined with the beauty  of Bride & Groom in their wedding photos. After the wedding, we headed over to Rowdy's Rustic Moose Lodge for some sunset photos, dancing, drinking, socializing, and don't forget the cake! This reception venue was a spectacular spot not only for some great photos, but for the couple to share their first dance, and listen to some of their closest friends and family give them toasts and well wishes that I'm sure these newlyweds will remember for a long time to come. Tyler also had his 1968 Chevy C10 on hand that was recently restored! WOW! We love to take pictures with classic cars and trucks and these love birds only added to its beauty. One thing that shines through in this sweet couple's wedding portraits is that they are truly in love. Just like their engagement shoot, the wedding for these two was magical in every way! Jessica & Shawn got married this June at the Affinity Riverside Estate in Nixa, Missouri. This wedding and venue was extraordinary. From the bride's dress to the guy's suits, the flower arrangements, decorations, a massive multi-level deck overlooking a beautiful arbor where the bride and groom said their vows. On top of all that, this group was ready to smile and take awesome pictures! It didn't hurt that the venue provided us with so many cool spots to photograph our lovely newlyweds and their friends. These two lovely people were so nice and laid back for all of our crazy photo'ing ideas, and such great people just by themselves. I have no doubt their greatness will only multiply now that they have joined forces in marriage. It was such an honor getting to be there and capture all the memories to last a lifetime. I drove out to Sedalia, Missouri this past weekend to meet up with Amanda and Matt and 'shoot some engagement photos! We shot on their family farm just north of the city. Beautiful countryside landscapes, old barns, and a quarry all lended themselves to this awesome engagement photo session! Can't wait for the wedding and these two sweethearts to be married! Jess & Jeremy was our first April wedding this year. These sweet-hearts got married at Devil's Den State Park, just south of Fayetteville, and the day was pure magic. When I say magic I mean all the pine trees (errr, ummm... I mean Eastern Red Cedar as I was promptly corrected by Jess), waterfalls and beautiful flowing streams, a perfect sunset, flying burrito, dancing, and Jess karaoke'd 'Baby Got Back' (her flow was so crazy!), and not the least of the magic.... these two are so in love and we were so happy to be a part of their wedding day and get all their perfect moments captured in pictures.
