I got to hang out with these two love birds in Kansas City yesterday! We checked out the River Market Park and Westport. Here are a few of our favorites so far.

Jess & Jeremy was our first April wedding this year. These sweet-hearts got married at Devil's Den State Park, just south of Fayetteville, and the day was pure magic. When I say magic I mean all the pine trees (errr, ummm... I mean Eastern Red Cedar as I was promptly corrected by Jess), waterfalls and beautiful flowing streams, a perfect sunset, flying burrito, dancing, and Jess karaoke'd 'Baby Got Back' (her flow was so crazy!), and not the least of the magic.... these two are so in love and we were so happy to be a part of their wedding day and get all their perfect moments captured in pictures. After a Saturday wedding in Omaha, on Sunday I got to explore the Kansas City West Bottoms and Loose Park with these two love-birds:) I had a such a fun time hanging out and getting to know Shannon & Luke a little bit. KC definitely doesn't leave anything to be desired in terms of photo spots! There were so many wonderful backdrops and landscapes for this beautiful couple to showcase their love! Liz+Jace invited us out to their farm to do their engagement session! This photo sesh' came fully equipped with stunningly beautiful horses, some breathtaking countryside, and a simply perfect sunset. We are loving the way this album is coming together. Yesterday was a dream at Jess & Jeremy's wedding at Devil's Den State Park in Arkansas! They were the perfect couple to get April weddings started off right, and they picked the absolute perfect spot to tie the knot. We were so happy to be there to capture it all! We're just getting into these edits, but found a few we like (so far). More coming soon!!!!
These two were sweet-hearts were amazing! They were so eager to try my crazy ideas like trekking into the woods and doing some fireworks, AND they brought a classic car! Huge bonus! They have been together for TEN YEARS, and their love really shines through in their engagement album. We can't wait for Round II of pictures at their wedding. It's our first wedding of the year, and what an incredible start we got off to on this beautiful (and overcast:)) early spring day, at the Barn at Timber Cove in Pittsburg, Kansas. This was our first time shooting at this venue, and it was everything! A beautiful barn complete with pretty countryside, water features, and plenty of woods to sneak off into! The photo'ing possibilities were o'plenty! Not to mention we were blessed with Sam + Kevin who could not have made our jobs easier. They were so easy going, laid back, and kept everything stress free on a day that can sometimes prove to be anything but! The bride and groom said I do mid-afternoon in front of all their friends and family, after we wore them out will all the photography of course! The beautiful couple then capped off their big day in the most perfect way, dancing the night away with all of their wedding guests:) This was one for the record books!

It's been too long since we've gotten to see these great friends of ours! It was such fun day getting to spend some time and finally meet Baby Tripp and take some pics! Today was complete with photoshoot, sushi, and Baskin Robbins. We are Happy & Fulfilled! Check out a few of our favorites from today's shoot below...
One of the things we love to do most is travel...so we took a fun little weekend trip to Waco and Austin. We didn't take nearly enough pictures, probably because our little adventure was comprised mostly of eating....and gawking. LOL. 'Keep Austin Weird'! Lucky for me I have a gorgeous model I call my girlfriend that travels with me everywhere so when I do get the camera out, she makes it easy for me!
Texas had so much to offer. Too bad we couldn't see it all! We were able to see the Magnolia Market in Waco, the Austin Botanical Gardens, experience 6th Street in all its weirdness, hit some balls at Top Golf, take our first trip to Capital Grille, and more things I'm probably failing to mention!
Kara & Joel welcomed in the winter as my first engagement of the new year! You can't even tell from the pictures that it was the coldest day so far. Wrapped up in their winter outfits, they radiated that pre-wedding warmth, and we came away with an incredible engagement album! We met at Schermerhorn Park in Galena, Kansas which always provides a bountiful selection of photographic canvas'. For our urban look, we moved locations into downtown Galena and found some beautiful brick buildings and a sweet old tour bus, painted Carolina blue with mountains on the side! All in all, it was a good day:) Here are just a few of my favorites for Kara & Joel's engagement session!
I've acquired one of the true beauties in the photographic world, the Polaroid SX-70. A few short nights ago, I had a fever (for a Polaroid camera). I started researching on the internet to decide what would be the best fit for me. After a couple of hours, I settled on the SX-70, a beautiful masterpiece from the 70's. I was able to find one in good working 'condish' on Ebay, along with a slew of film from the Impossible project, who basically saved instant film on classic cameras like mine in 2009, when Polaroid stopped making instant film.
Kayla & Jeremy's Bullskin Creek wedding was everything you hope and pray a December wedding will be. A touching outdoor ceremony with perfect weather, and a stunning new venue with picturesque views.As December days go, this particular Saturday was a dream. Perfect weather for all the photo'ing :) This was my first time getting to shoot at the new Bullskin Creek in Neosho, Missouri. The weather, the venue, and this stunning couple all worked in concert to create another fabulous wedding! I met these two at Devil's Den State Park down south of Fayetteville, Arkansas. One of the first things that I noticed is that these two are truly best friends, so playful with each other, truly in love, and it comes through in their engagement pictures. They have each found 'the one' and it's a beautiful thing!
