Austin and Matt got married in the Redwood Forest of Northern California this April, and there are not enough good words to say about this couple and the few days I got to spend with them and their family. I started this trip off with a flight to Eugene, Oregon. From there I drove down the coast to Crescent City, California where I met up with the happy couple and their family the night before the wedding. From the moment I arrived in the Pacific Northwest, I knew this wedding was going to be pure magic. Beauty surrounds you at every single turn. The day of the wedding, we started off by exploring some of the coastal areas around Crescent City, and arrived back to the hotel where the bride & groom were prepping for the coming nuptials. Once they were ready, Austin and Matt met on the beach for their first look. You could see and feel the excitement and emotion with each one of them when they saw each other for the first time. Matt mentioned how he was more nervous than expected and Austin told Matt that he needed to 'fix his pants'. Memories that won't soon be forgotten I'm sure. We headed from the beach straight into the forest to see the sweethearts say 'I do'. The spot that Austin and Matt picked out for their wedding was absolutely breath taking. It was a spot way out in the woods, totally secluded from the outside world. We hung around afterwards for some portraits as the sun beamed in through the Redwoods. We finished up on the beach for a few more shots at sunset, and then headed back into Crescent City to Seaquake Brewery to finish the day with some music, dancing, and libations.
